Yes, the video is called “How to Strength Quantize,” and it’s just a nice simple demonstration of the Q-Strength parameter. Is this humanizing permanent?

If not, how do I make the humanize permanent in the region? Those of us who are, um, a bit lacking on the performance side of things aren’t able to get away with that. Thus it does not sound human I’ve tried all kinds of humanizing tools and systems and they always lack something, hmm, human about ’em. I’m into DE humanizing things. Thanks for the response Dave. When Ask Audio were naming my article, I think they were considering the 6th step as two which makes sense. Glad they changed it to 6 though! I intentionally left out Q-Range since my intention was to write a clear and simple article on humanizing techniques. Q-Range is a bit baffling to some, so I didn’t want to muddy-up the article with it. Hi Dave. Indeed there are 6. Would love to see something clear and concise on q-range. I always fumble and get good results but i feel like i’m re-learning it freshly every time.

Currently only for Logic Pro X, though Positive Pressure is working on a plugin version too. Anyone that buys the Logic version will get a free. 1. Highlight MIDI regions · 2. Click Functions’ · 3. Click ‘MIDI Transform’ · 4. Click ‘Humanize’ until you’re happy with the MIDI note changes. Step 1. Open up the Humanize preset and rename it to something else, Logic will ask you if you want to save this as a new preset, hit Return. On.
